Does Helpore take a share of the wage?

Never. Wages pass through in full. Helpore earns a flat fee or a subscription, and the amount is the same whether your Helper earns the legal minimum or twice that.

Is there an option with no subscription at all?

Yes, Flex. You pay per booked hour with a flat Helpore fee, and the contract, the insurance and the payslip are included in that hour.

What quitt is

quitt is a Swiss payroll and administration service for private employers. It registers the household with the compensation office, produces payslips and handles social insurance for a person the household has already found. It does not match or find household help. Its published prices are three tiers: Start at CHF 10 a month after a free first month with a 8 percent commission on the gross wage, Comfort at CHF 150 a year with a 5 percent commission, and Flat at CHF 990 a year with no commission, with quitt itself recommending Flat above a monthly wage of CHF 1'450.

Where households feel the difference

A percentage of your Helper's wage

With quitt: On the Start and Comfort tiers, quitt charges 8 or 5 percent of the gross wage on top of the base price.
What it means for you: The more you pay your Helper, the more you pay quitt. A raise for your Helper raises your administration bill too.
With Helpore: Helpore never charges a percentage of the wage. Helpore Admin is CHF 23.90 a month or CHF 238.80 a year, Admin Light CHF 15.90 or CHF 154.80, whatever the wage. A raise costs you the raise.

Finding the person

With quitt: quitt administers a person you already have. Finding one is your job.
What it means for you: The hardest part of employing household help, finding someone reliable and verified, happens before quitt starts.
With Helpore: Helpore has verified Helpers to choose from, with identity and work permits checked before they can be booked. Or bring the person you already have, invite them, and Helpore runs the payroll for that relationship.

Three tiers to get right

With quitt: Start, Comfort or Flat, with a wage breakpoint of CHF 1'450 a month to judge against.
What it means for you: Choose wrong and you pay a commission you did not need to, or a yearly price for hours that never came.
With Helpore: One price for Admin, one for Light, both monthly or yearly, and Flex for hours with no subscription at all. Nothing to guess.

When the hours are small or irregular

With quitt: quitt is a subscription with a commission. There is no pay per hour path.
What it means for you: A few hours now and then still carries a monthly base and a share of every franc.
With Helpore: Flex is pay per booked hour with a flat Helpore fee of CHF 3.50, contract and insurance included, nothing to subscribe to. Move to Admin Light or Admin only when it becomes regular.
