Because the two do different jobs. Fairboss hands you the forms and you do the rest, which is a good answer when you already have your person and the paperwork does not worry you. Helpore finds you a verified Helper, and with Admin it registers, files and reports the employment under your signed authorization. If neither of those is worth a fee to you, Fairboss is the right tool.

Who is the employer with Helpore?

You are, exactly as with Fairboss. Helpore never employs your Helper. The Helper sets their own rate, keeps the whole gross wage, and Helpore is paid a flat monthly or yearly fee, never a percentage of the wage.

What Fairboss is

Fairboss is an employment assistant from Lemonfrog AG, offered alongside the job boards Homeservice24 and Babysitting24. It matches nobody, and it is never a party to the employment: its terms say Lemonfrog AG is neither party nor contracting partner when an employment contract comes about, and that members obtain any residence or work permit themselves and insure the people they employ. Its conditions page lists a free Basic version with the employment assistant and its forms for AHV, an insurance recommendation, a contract template, time recording and the monthly payslip for 3 months, and a Premium subscription at CHF 39.90 a year, quoted as CHF 3.33 a month, which adds the monthly payslip without that limit, several employments in one account, the calculations for the yearly wage declaration and a contract written for your case.

With Fairboss: Fairboss begins once you have already found someone. It is an assistant for the employment, not a place to search.
What it means for you: The hardest part, finding somebody reliable whose identity and right to work you can rely on, happens before Fairboss starts.
With Helpore: Helpore has verified profiles to choose from, for cleaning, childcare and support at home. Helpers join free, set their own rate and keep the whole gross wage. Or bring the person you already have, invite them, and Helpore runs that employment.

Who checks the papers

With Fairboss: The terms are explicit: members obtain any residence or work permit themselves and insure the person they employ.
What it means for you: Identity and the right to work in Switzerland are yours to verify at the kitchen table, and a mistake stays with the household.
With Helpore: Identity and work permit are verified before a Helper can be booked. You still choose the person. You are not the one who has to check their papers.
