At Helpore the employer is always the household. If a household buys Helpore Admin or Helpore Admin Light, Helpore prepares that household's declarations.

What protects your records

For every task done outside Switzerland, the privacy notice names the country.
Nothing you send to Helpore can be read on the way
Every connection is encrypted, and your browser is told to open Helpore no other way.
Everything in our database is encrypted, not only your AHV number
The company that runs our database encrypts the database, your files and the backups where they sit. Your AHV number is encrypted a second time, with a key no browser and no app can use, and only the last digits reach a screen.
Every household sees only its own records
The database itself keeps households apart, and a Helper sees only their own profile and their own jobs.
Every change to your pay or your hours is written down
The database writes down what changed and when, for your pay, your hours, your employment and your declarations.
What people ask us
Where is my data kept?
In Switzerland, in the Zurich region. That is the database and the files you upload. The computers that serve the pages run in Germany. The company that runs the database can reach it for support from Singapore. A few companies work for Helpore on one task each and handle part of your records in Ireland or the United States.
Who can see my AHV number?
A household hands over its own number so it can be registered with the compensation office. A Helper hands theirs to Helpore at signup, and the household that employs the Helper needs it to declare the wages. On Helpore Admin and Helpore Admin Light, the Helpore staff who prepare a household's declarations use both full numbers, and the household finds them in those documents. A Helper sees only the last digits of their own number on screen. The law adds the offices and insurers that receive the declaration.
Who can see my documents?
Helpore checks them. A household never sees a Helper's identity papers or permit document. A criminal record certificate is never shown. A household sees one line saying that Helpore checked the certificate.
Does Helpore store my card details?
No. The number and the three digits on the back go to the company that handles the payment and never reach us. We keep only a reference for the payment.
Can I get a copy of my data, or close my account?
You can do both, and both are in your settings. Download a copy of your data whenever you like. If you need something the download does not include, write to support@helpore.com. We answer within thirty days and it costs you nothing. When you close your account, your name comes off your profile and off any listing. If a booking, a payment or money we still hold for you is open, we tell you, and you can close the account once that is settled. Payroll records stay with us for ten years, as the law requires, and access to them is restricted.
Is my data backed up?
The database is backed up every day.
Who checks the companies that run Helpore's servers?
The companies that run our database and serve our pages are examined every year by outside auditors.
How often is this website checked for weaknesses?
Every week an automatic check goes over this website's public pages and the outside code it uses.

Every update to this website must pass our security and privacy tests, and the first failure stops it before anything goes live.
