What comes after signing

As the employer, you then:

  • register your Helper with your canton's compensation office (AHV)
  • insure your Helper against accidents
  • pay the wage with a payslip each month
  • deduct source tax from the wage if it applies to your Helper
  • check that your Helper may work in Switzerland, and register the work where required
  • join a pension fund once the yearly wage exceeds the legal threshold

Questions

Who signs the contract?
You and your Helper, both by hand, and you each keep a copy. Then, as the employer, you register with the compensation office, insure your Helper against accidents and pay the wage with a payslip.
Which of my canton's rules does the page show?
Your canton's probation, notice and minimum holidays, each with its source. The page also lists the public holidays the contract pays. Your wage is checked against the minimum for your answers, for start dates up to 31.12.2027.
Is anything I type saved?
Helpore keeps none of it. This browser keeps your answers about the work, postcode and town for 30 days at most, or until you clear them. Names, addresses and your sentence are never kept, so print before you leave.
Does it work for childcare or care for my parents?
It works for cleaning, childcare, help for an older person and other household work. Pick what your Helper does: the minimum wage depends on the work and the hours.
Which language is the contract in?
If you pick German, French or Italian, you sign that version. If you pick English, Spanish or Portuguese, you print two: the version you both sign, in your canton's language, and a translation for your Helper.
What if the wage we agreed is below the minimum?
The page shows the minimum next to the wage and does not prepare a contract below it. Agree a wage at or above the minimum.
