Helpore vs Batmaid: your own Helper, or an agency's cleaner

Batmaid is the agency model done well: it employs its cleaners, and you are its customer. Helpore is the other model: you employ your Helper, choose them yourself, and Helpore does the administration. Both are legal and insured. They put you in very different positions.

What Batmaid is

Batmaid is a Swiss cleaning platform that employs all of its cleaners on permanent contracts under the cleaning industry's collective agreement. Its promise to households is to be freed from employer duties and administration, and to have the same cleaner each time. Batmaid publishes CHF 43.90 an hour for regular cleaning on its about page (batmaid.ch/de/about-us, read on 16 October 2026), with its own breakdown of the price.

Where households feel the difference

Who employs whom

With Batmaid
Batmaid is the employer. You are a customer buying a service.
What it means for you
The wage is not yours to set. It is one line in Batmaid's hourly price, listed next to the contributions, the insurances, the VAT and Batmaid's own margin.
With Helpore
You are the employer and your Helper works for you. The wage is agreed between you, shown before you book, and the Helper keeps all of it. Helpore's fee is a flat amount you can see.

Choosing the person

With Batmaid
The same cleaner each time is something the agency offers; the assignment is the agency's.
What it means for you
You are matched to whoever the company has available. Continuity is a feature the company grants, not a decision you make.
With Helpore
You browse Helper profiles, read how each Helper works and what they charge, pick the person, and keep them. Nobody is swapped in.

Seeing what the price is made of

With Batmaid
Batmaid publishes CHF 43.90 an hour for regular cleaning on its about page, with its own breakdown of the price.
What it means for you
That one hourly figure bundles the wage, the contributions, the insurances, the VAT and Batmaid's own margin. The wage inside it is not one you agree with the person who comes to your home.
With Helpore
The wage, Helpore's fee and the employer contributions are on the profile and in the quote before you book. The wage calculator shows a whole year.

When occasional becomes regular

With Batmaid
However long it lasts, you remain a customer of a company.
What it means for you
A regular person you rely on every week is, on paper, an employee of someone else, on terms you do not set.
With Helpore
Start with Flex for occasional hours, everything included. When it becomes regular, Helpore Admin or Admin Light turns the same Helper into your declared employee, and Helpore runs the payroll.

Helpore's prices, all of them

  • Flex: pay per booked hour, a flat Helpore fee of CHF 3.50 on top of the wage, contract, insurance and payslip included, nothing to subscribe to.
  • Helpore Admin Light: CHF 15.90 a month or CHF 154.80 a year for one regular Helper you administer with Helpore's documents and calculations.
  • Helpore Admin: CHF 23.90 a month or CHF 238.80 a year; you stay the employer, and Helpore runs the registration, payslips, source tax and insurance in your name, and prepares a contract if you want one.
  • A one time placement fee of CHF 29.00 when a Helper you found on Helpore becomes your regular employee, credited against Flex fees you already paid.
  • Helpers set their own rate, never below CHF 24.55 an hour, and never below the statutory minimum where the work is done. The wage is theirs in full.

Common questions

Is Helpore an agency like Batmaid?
No. Helpore is a placement platform. Your household is the employer of every Helper who works in your home; Helpore verifies the Helper and, with Helpore Admin or Helpore Flex, runs the administration in your household's name.
Do I have to do the paperwork myself?
No. Flex includes contract, insurance and payslip per booked hour. Admin Light gives you the documents and the monthly calculation for a regular Helper. With Helpore Admin you stay the employer, and Helpore runs the registration and the monthly payroll in your name under your signed power of attorney.
Can I keep the same Helper?
That is the point. You choose the person, and they stay your person. If they move on, you choose again.
