What is Helpore?
Helpore is a Swiss platform to find, compare, and book household help. We combine booking, legal/admin support, and trust signals so households and Helpers can work together with clear expectations.
Which services can I book on Helpore?
Services depend on what each Helper offers. Common categories include cleaning and housekeeping, childcare, gardening/outdoor tasks, pet care, errands, cooking and meal prep, home organization, tutoring, and senior home help (non-medical).
How does coverage by area work?
Coverage is based on each Helper's configured service areas (ZIP, city, or address + radius). Search results include Helpers matching your address/service query, then booking availability is further filtered by that area's served days and booking rules.
How do I secure my account?
Use a strong unique password, keep your email verified, and sign out on shared devices. If you suspect unauthorized activity, contact hello@helpore.com immediately.
What do trust badges mean on Helper profiles?
Badges summarize earned trust signals such as verified identity, reliability, and other performance milestones. Open the Helper profile badges section for criteria, and check the Helper dashboard badges page for how each badge is earned.
How can I contact support and how fast do you reply?
Send support requests to hello@helpore.com. Support hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00 Swiss time, and we reply within 3 business days.
How is my data used?
We use account and booking data to operate core platform functions, legal/admin workflows, and safety controls. We only process data needed for service delivery, compliance, and support according to our privacy policy.
Your upload was not accepted: what now
Your screen shows the reason. The three usual ones: the photo does not show the whole page, the signature is missing or on the wrong page, or the file is not a photo or a PDF we can read. Sign a fresh copy, take the picture in good light with all four corners visible, and upload it again. You can upload as often as you need, and nothing else in your account is affected.
For households
How do I book a Helper?
Helpore Flex is not open yet, so no household can book a Helper by the hour today. You can already search by service and address and compare profiles and prices. If you already employ a Helper, Helpore Admin Light and Helpore Admin are open now, and your household is the employer.
Why should I search with both service and address?
Using both service and address gives more accurate matches. It filters Helpers by offered service and service area, then carries that context into profile and booking so you see more relevant options.
Why does a profile sometimes show a focused view and other times a general view?
If you open a profile from search with service/address context, the page is tailored to that selection. Direct share links show a more general profile summary. Booking context is preserved in the booking flow.
Why start with flexible booking?
Flexible booking helps you compare Helpers and book only when you need help. It is designed for households without a fixed schedule and for lower monthly hours with the same Helper.
What is the difference between flexible booking and Helpore Admin?
Flexible booking lets you book a single visit from a Helper's live availability. Helpore Admin is for regular work with a Helper you already trust, bring from outside Helpore, or want to keep after Flex; it uses a signed contract, monthly QR invoices, payroll handling and scheduled Helper payout.
What if no slot is available on my selected day?
If no slot matches that day and duration, we show the next available flexible slot within the Helper's booking window and similar Helpers when available.
Why do I need an account to book?
Helpore Flex is not open yet, so there is nothing to book today. When it opens, a booking runs through your household account: guests are asked to sign in or sign up, and if you are signed in as a Helper, you sign out first and continue with a household account.
Pricing and Swiss household minimum wages
Helpore checks the Helper's rate against the applicable Swiss household-employment legal minimum for the service, location, qualification, experience and date. Helpers can set higher rates.
How do Helpore flexible booking fees work?
The Helpore service fee is a flat CHF 3.50 per booked hour including VAT, the same for every hour and every Helper. It is shown inside the full household total before you confirm. When a relationship you found on Helpore becomes regular, a one time placement fee of CHF 29 applies, and the service fees you already paid for bookings with that same Helper in the last 90 days count against it, so trying first is never penalised.
How do payments and refunds work?
Payments are processed through the platform. If a booking is canceled within the applicable policy window, eligible refunds are returned to the original payment method.
How do I change or cancel a booking?
Open your booking area and select the booking you want to change. Applicable cancellation/reschedule terms are shown before you confirm.
What does Helpore handle for me legally?
Helpore supports key household-employment administration workflows (for example social contribution processing context and required data handling), so households can stay compliant with Swiss expectations.
How are disputes handled?
Start by resolving directly through in-app communication. If needed, escalate to platform support for moderation and review. Outcomes can affect ratings and future platform access.
How do ratings work?
Profiles combine satisfaction signals (reviews/ratings) and reliability signals (for example cancellations and responsiveness). This gives a more balanced view than stars alone.
Can I save Helpers and message them before booking?
Yes. Signed-in households can save Helpers and use the message flow to clarify details before booking. If you are not logged in, you will be prompted to log in or sign up first.
Do I need ID verification and Power of Attorney steps?
Yes, verification steps may be required to complete employer/compliance setup. In your workspace you can upload ID documents and complete required authorization steps when prompted.
Booking a Helper through Helpore Flex is not open yet
You can see every profile, every availability and every price. Booking through Helpore Flex is not open yet, so instead of booking you can join the waitlist. Joining costs nothing and commits you to nothing. The waitlist sends you one email the day it opens. Helpore Admin is open today for a Helper you already employ. Your household is the employer in every case.
Your contract package: what happens after you sign
How you sign depends on your Helper, and your screen tells you which way applies to you. If you run only a Helper you already employ, you accept the power of attorney and the employment contract on screen, and the package is complete at once. If you use Helpore Flex or a Helper you found through Helpore, the package needs the written form: a signature by hand or a qualified electronic signature. You download the document, sign it by hand and upload a photo or a scan; a colleague at Helpore checks it, and you see the result on the same screen. If the office in your canton accepts only the signed original on paper, you post it to us. When you upload a scan, the signed original stays with you. With Helpore Admin Light you and your Helper accept the employment contract electronically; you register with the compensation office yourself.
The office in your canton asked for the original by post
Some offices accept only a signed original on paper. Where that applies, your screen names the office and the address to post it to. Everything else in your setup carries on while the envelope travels; only the registration with that office waits. When the original reaches us, we mark it received on your document, the date appears on your screen, and the registration that was waiting starts. If your screen still says we are waiting and the envelope should have arrived by now, write to us with the day you posted it.
The link to your documents
You ask for the link in Settings, and it goes to the address on your account. It works once, it stops working after the number of minutes your screen names, and it opens only while you are signed in, so open it in the same browser where you are signed in. If it has expired or you have already used it, ask for a new one in the same place. You can ask a limited number of times a day, and the screen names that number too.
Why can I not book yet?
Booking through Helpore Flex is not open yet. Join the waitlist on any profile. The waitlist sends you one email the day it opens.
Does joining the waitlist cost anything?
No. Joining commits you to nothing, and Helpers never pay Helpore anything.
What does Helpore Admin cost for a further person?
See the pricesFrom the second person you employ through Helpore Admin, the subscription costs the further person price, a month or a year, while your first subscription is active. When the first subscription ends, the next one moves to the full price from its next billing period; nothing changes backwards. The exact figures are on the pricing page.
Can I agree a monthly salary instead of an hourly wage?
Yes. In Helpore Admin you choose the shape of the wage before you enter the pay figures. On a monthly salary the holiday is taken as paid time off and the salary stays the same, so there is no holiday percentage; the screen shows the hourly rate your salary and your agreed weekly hours come to. For now, the wage of a monthly salary contract is changed by writing to us.
My compensation office handles accident cover. Do I still need a policy?
Not for the compulsory accident cover, where your office offers it and you are in the simplified procedure. Then the office settles the accident premiums together with the contributions and concludes the policy in your name. You stay the policy holder, and you report an accident to the insurer yourself. In that case the insurance offer does not include those covers. Where the office route is not confirmed for your canton, the cover is arranged with an insurer, and supplementary covers run with an insurer in every canton.
Can my Helper see the employment in their own account?
Yes, with your invitation. In Helpore Admin, open the employment and offer portal access. You enter your Helper's private email address and check it, and nothing goes out until you press send. Your Helper confirms the invitation in their own account and from then on sees this one employment: its contract, its monthly documents and the dates they carry. If your Helper declines, nothing is linked and you can offer access again. You can cancel the invitation until your Helper has confirmed it, and withdraw access at any time after that. Withdrawing ends the portal view; the employment, the payroll duties, the documents and the records all stay. Each step is written to an access record you can read. Your household stays the employer, and your Helper pays Helpore nothing.

For Helpers
Who is eligible to work on Helpore?
Helpers must meet Swiss work-eligibility requirements for their status. During onboarding, Helpore guides the required path and document checks.
Which verification documents are required?
Depending on your status, this can include identity documents, work-eligibility documents, and additional compliance files. Uploading complete and valid documents improves profile trust and booking readiness.
When does the ID verified badge update?
The ID badge updates once verification is successfully confirmed in the system. If your documents are approved but the badge still does not appear, contact support so we can review your profile state.
How should I set up service areas?
Add one or more service areas using ZIP, city, or exact address with a travel radius. Keep areas realistic so search matching and booking suggestions stay accurate.
What is advanced service-area mode?
Advanced mode lets you assign different service areas to specific days of the week, including weekends. Search can still discover all your configured areas, and booking then filters by the served days for the selected area.
How do availability rules affect bookings?
Your weekly hours, blockers/vacations, minimum notice hours, and future booking window all shape which slots households can book. Keep these settings updated to avoid missed matches.
Minimum wages and local enforcement
The platform enforces Swiss household-employment hourly minimums by qualification, plus higher local minimums where required. You can set higher rates, and recurring tiers must remain within allowed bounds.
Is a Helper's wage lower for regular work?
No. Your agreed wage is never discounted, however often a household books you and whichever plan it chooses. Any saving for regular or larger bookings applies only to Helpore's fee. Helpore Admin is optional: a household can also book you regularly through Helpore Flex, or run the administration itself with Helpore Admin Light.
Who pays a Helper's wage, and how does it arrive?
The household that employs you pays your wage. With Helpore Flex and Helpore Admin, Helpore receives it in the household's name and passes it on to you unchanged. Only the legal deductions, such as AHV, go to the offices they are owed to, and Helpore keeps nothing of your wage. With Helpore Admin Light, the household pays you itself. Under Helpore Admin and Helpore Admin Light, your contract names the day of the month by which your wage is paid; for a Helpore Flex visit, your wage is released for payout once the visit is completed. Payouts go to a Swiss IBAN. If you are an EU or EFTA citizen working under the notification procedure, an IBAN from an EU or EFTA country is accepted during your notified stay. Keep your bank details current in Settings so nothing is held up.
Where do I find payslips and annual tax/wage documents?
Use the Documents area to access generated files like payslips and annual wage/tax documents when available. Verification documents are managed there as well.
How are holidays and sick-leave considerations handled?
For hourly work, the applicable vacation pay plus public-holiday supplement is included where required. The federal default is 8.72% or 11.03% before age 20; stricter canton supplements apply at booking. If a Helper is ill, nothing is replaced automatically: the household chooses another Helper, another date, or cancels without cost.
How is my reliability rating calculated?
Reliability reflects operational behavior such as cancellations, no-shows, punctuality, and responsiveness. Clear communication and consistency help maintain a strong score.
How can I earn more badges?
Open the badges page in your Helper dashboard. Each badge includes guidance on the required steps (for example verification completion, reliability milestones, or other profile quality signals).
How do I improve profile visibility and booking chances?
Keep your profile complete: clear photo, strong bio, accurate services/rates, realistic service areas, and up-to-date availability. Complete verification and consistent reliability also improve conversion.
I have moved, how do I change my address
If you move, you change your home address yourself, in two places, and both save the same thing. In Helpore Pro, open Settings and the address section, then edit street, number, postal code and town. On the web, open your profile page and the address section there. Both go through one route, so whichever you use, the other one shows the new address straight away. You do not have to go back through the signup questions to change it, and changing your address never moves you back a step. If the postal code and the town do not match, we say so before saving. Your home address is private. It is never shown on your public profile, and it is not the same as your service areas, which say where you are willing to work. If you cannot save it, write to us and we correct it for you and confirm within three business days.
I cannot sign in
If your password is refused, the screen says why, in your language, with the next step on the same screen. The screen does not say which of the two is wrong, and that is on purpose, so that nobody can learn from it whether an account exists. Two things fix almost every case: ask for a new password with Forgot password, and check that you are using the email address you opened the account with. The link to set a new password now works in any browser, so you can ask for it on your phone, open the message on a computer and finish there. If it is not there in a few minutes, look in the spam folder, and ask for a new one whenever you want. If it still does not arrive, write to us: we check which account is yours and send it again, and we tell you what we found rather than leaving you guessing.
How often does Helpore write to me, and how do I change it
While bookings are closed you get at most one message a week that is not an answer to something you did, and that one message is a digest. It lists what is still open on your profile, each item by name, with one action and one link. If nothing is open, we send nothing that week. A few messages sit outside the weekly limit because they are news and not a chase: a document that is about to expire, a document we could not accept, and the day bookings open. How much you get is your choice. In your settings there are three: Everything, Only what I must act on, and Only the day bookings open. You can change it whenever you want and it takes effect with the next send. A sign in link, a password reset and a message the law requires carry no unsubscribe link, because those always reach you. Everything else you can switch off in your settings, and the weekly digest carries a link at the bottom that opens the same setting. You never have to close your account to stop our email. If that is what it took before, we are sorry.
How do I close my account, and what happens to my data
You can close your account whenever you want, and you do not have to give a reason beyond one word. Open Settings and Delete account in Helpore Pro or on the web, and it is closed straight away, unless a wage or a payout is still on its way to you. If you would rather write to us, we close it for you and confirm within three business days. What goes: your profile, your login, your contact details and your address. What stays: payroll and accounting records that Swiss law requires us to keep for ten years, and that applies only if you ever had a booking through Helpore. If you never had a booking, we keep no payroll records. The identity documents you uploaded are kept for two years after you close the account, then deleted. If you want them removed sooner, write to us and we remove them. Your profile is anonymised the moment the account is closed and your login goes with it. Your earlier name, address and phone number are erased from our records within a day, so nothing left in your profile points back to you. We write to you once when it is done. If money is still on its way to you, a wage from a household that has not reached you yet for example, we tell you what is still open, and you can close the account yourself as soon as it has arrived. Closing your account is not the way to stop our email. There is a setting for that.
Why has no household booked me yet
Bookings are not open yet for anybody on Helpore, your profile is ready as it is, and we will write to you on the day that changes. It is not your photo, your rate, your languages or your profile. No household can send a request to anybody today, so a quiet week says nothing about you. We are waiting for a Swiss authority to answer how work in a household is registered here, and we will not guess at a date. When the answer comes, everybody hears it from us on the same day, in one message. Until then there is nothing to chase. If something on your profile is open, the weekly digest names it, and it can wait until you have time. Nothing you do or leave undone now counts against you. When bookings do open, the household that books you is your employer and pays your wage. You never pay Helpore a fee.
Helpers: your framework agreement
You sign the framework agreement once, and every booking you accept afterwards is a separate assignment. The household that books you is your employer, and you pay Helpore nothing, ever. Download the agreement, sign it by hand and upload a photo or a scan. We check it and tell you on the same screen as soon as it is accepted. Signing online comes later; signing by hand is open now and takes a few minutes. While we check, you can still decline a booking, and you can accept one as soon as your signature is accepted. The agreement is written in the official language of your place of work.
My date of birth is wrong
Write to us. If no household runs your payroll yet, Helpore corrects it and records the reason; once your documents are under review, you cannot change it yourself. If a household already runs your payroll, write to us too, and we tell you who corrects it there.
A household invited me to its portal: what happens
The invitation links one employment to your Helpore account. First you confirm that the invitation is for you; details of the employment stay private until your identity and your access are checked. When you accept, you see that employment's contract, its monthly documents and the dates they carry from that day on. No other household appears, nothing about you is published, and you pay nothing. The household that employs you is your employer and stays your employer. If the invitation is not for you, say so on the same screen and nothing is linked. If the household later withdraws access, your employment, your pay and your documents are unchanged, and you can ask the household or Helpore for your records.
Your records when you have no Helpore account
Contact Helpore about my recordsYou can ask Helpore for your own records, or for a correction, without an account. Before anything is sent, a colleague compares the document you show with the employment on file. You do not need a Helpore account, and you never pay Helpore anything. Three records exist for you: your signed contract, your monthly payslips and your year end statement. You can ask for any of them. Write to Helpore and choose the category for a Helper asking for their own records. Show one document of your own choice, an identity card, a passport or a residence permit, and say which records you need. This page is about your own records only. It gives no account access and shows nothing about another household. A correction goes to the household you work for, because the household is your employer; Helpore changes only its own records. The household you work for is your employer. For this request we deal with you directly. We do not send your request or your documents through the household you work for.
