Swiss household employment
Also written: Ausgleichskasse · Caisse de compensation · Cassa di compensazione
The Ausgleichskasse (caisse de compensation in French) is the cantonal body that collects AHV, IV, EO and ALV contributions and administers family allowances. Every employer in Switzerland is registered with one, including a private household.
You register with the office of the canton you live in, and it becomes your counterparty for everything contribution related: the annual declaration, the bill, the employee's certificate.
You are the employer. Helpore prepares the contract, files the declarations and produces the payslip in your name.
What the office collects on your behalf:
The one for the canton where you live, not where the person you employ lives. Each cantonal office runs its own registration form.
