Swiss household employment
Also written: AHV-Nummer · Numéro AVS · Numero AVS
The AHV number is the thirteen digit number that identifies a person in Swiss social insurance. It always begins 756 and is written 756.XXXX.XXXX.XX. It stays with the person for life and appears on their insurance card.
You need the number of the person you employ in order to declare their wage, and as a private employer you also give your own so the compensation office can register you.
You are the employer. Helpore prepares the contract, files the declarations and produces the payslip in your name.
On your health insurance card, and on any correspondence from your compensation office.
The compensation office issues one when the first wage is declared, so a missing number is not a reason to delay registering.
