# Helpore private-household study 2026 — package notes

## Disclosure

This exploratory secondary analysis was conducted and published by Helpore, which has a direct commercial interest in Swiss household services. The official-data headline, national comparison and permit analysis use data collected and published by SECO, SEM and FSO, not by Helpore. A separately labelled platform snapshot uses de-identified, self-reported Helpore Helper-account records. The analysis was not preregistered; its official source files, calculations, assumptions and limitations are supplied for independent reproduction, while the platform snapshot is published only in aggregate to protect account privacy.

## What the files measure

The SECO figures are annual **registrations for short-term employment starts with Swiss employers**. They are not counts of unique workers, households, jobs or full-time equivalents. The SEM figures are a point-in-time **stock of valid G permits**. They are not verified active workers. Because the two series use different systems, dates, units and industry definitions, adding them together would not produce a meaningful workforce total.

The notification procedure moved to EasyGov in mid-March 2025. Official sources do not quantify any resulting break in reporting or industry classification, so the year-on-year comparison is descriptive.

The separately labelled Helpore platform snapshot covers records through 10 September 2026. It starts with 587 active, email-confirmed, non-test Helper accounts; 192 recorded a non-Swiss EU/EFTA nationality, 185 of those had a recorded eligibility route, and 58 of that final cohort (31.4%) selected the EU/EFTA short-stay route and supplied a Swiss entry date in the prior 90 days. Public-profile visibility was not an inclusion criterion. These are de-identified, self-reported platform records—not authority registrations, completed placements, verified work or a national estimate. They record nationality and a Swiss entry date, not the previous country or country of departure. This snapshot is separate from, and non-additive to, the SECO notification flow and SEM permit stock.

## Review status and publication record

- The publication-day public-web search found no matching analysis of the 1,726→1,890 comparison. This does not establish absolute priority because offline and paywalled material may not be publicly searchable.
- This is an exploratory secondary analysis conducted and published by Helpore, not an academic peer-reviewed paper and not an endorsement by SECO, SEM or FSO. No external reviewer is named or implied.
- The official-data calculations, source files, workbook and methodological limitations are published so third parties can reproduce and challenge the analysis. The Helpore platform snapshot is aggregate only; no row-level account data are published.
